The two gelatin blocks show the hydrodynamic shock effect of our bullets. the mushroomed bullet was recovered from a respectable pig on a management hunt.

Hollow Core was tasked with designing a 338 / 8.6 bullet for both sub sonic and super sonic applications. The 8.6 is a very long bullet and folks are employing wild twist rates like a 1 turn in 3 inches to get the rotation up so high that when it hits a target it is quickly destabilized. Causing all kinds of mayhem. We needed to reduce the surface contact area in the rifle barrels bore reducing friction and improve flight characteristics. This was our answer to this request and it performed amazing well. On paper at 100 yards and in a successful harvest of a Watusi

Great weekend spent refining the 160 grain super and sub-sonic bullets. We actually catch the bullets confirming how the rifling is function on the bullet design. We prefer to us Black Hole weaponry barrels, but we test all the different rifling forms in common use. We are looking for drag, friction and heat buildup and of course bullet deformation that could effect performance. Accuracy come as a result of controlling all the variables possible. Attachments:
